What Helios is
Helios is a concentrated-liquidity terminal for Elysium. It lists every pool on the chain in one table, reports on the token behind each pool before you deposit, and turns a price range and a shape into Uniswap v3 positions in a single transaction.
Helios pools run on unmodified Uniswap v3 core contracts deployed to Elysium. Pools from other venues on the chain show up in the same table, so you can compare them, but liquidity you add through Helios always goes into a Helios pool.
Getting started
- Get HYPE on Elysium. Elysium is Kinetiq's L2 that settles to HyperEVM, and HYPE pays for gas. See Elysium's documentation for bridging.
- Connect a wallet. Use Connect wallet in the header. Helios asks your wallet to add or switch to Elysium (chain 99901) if it isn't there already.
- Open a pool. Pick one from Pools to see its chart, depth, safety report and the liquidity panel.
Every transaction is shown in your wallet before it's sent. Helios never holds your funds; positions are NFTs in your own wallet.
Finding pools
The pools table shows liquidity, volume, fees and fee APR for every pool, over the timeframe you pick. Sort by any column, narrow the list to one venue, or set filters on the numbers that matter to you.
The Helios score
Each pool gets a score from 1 to 99. It's a quick way to rank pools, not a recommendation. It adds up three parts:
- Fee APR
- Up to 40 points, on a log scale of the last 24 hours' fee APR.
- Safety
- Up to 40 points, less for concentrated holders, bundled launch buys and snipers. Weighted by liquidity, so an empty pool can't score well on clean holders alone.
- Depth
- Up to 20 points for total value locked.
Each safety flag (top 10 holders over 80%, or the deployer holding over 8%) takes 5 points off.
Reading the safety report
Every pool page reports on its base token's holders, measured from chain data. Each line is marked fine, caution or concern.
| Check | What it measures | Caution | Concern |
|---|---|---|---|
| Top 10 holders | Share of supply held by the ten largest wallets | 30% | 60% |
| Deployer | Supply still held by the wallet that deployed the token. “Sold all” means none. | 3% | 8% |
| Bundled buys | Bought in the launch block by linked wallets | 10% | 25% |
| Snipers | Bought within the first blocks after liquidity was added | 3% | 10% |
| Insiders | Wallets funded by the deployer before launch | 5% | 12% |
| Flagged wallets | Held by addresses linked to phishing | 30% | 60% |
Insider and flagged-wallet checks aren't computed yet and read 0% for now. A clean report is a starting point, not a guarantee.
Providing liquidity
Open a pool and use the Add liquidity panel.
Pick a range
Your liquidity only earns while the price is inside your range. Choose ±5%, ±10%, ±25%, ±50% or full range, or type your own minimum and maximum. Narrower ranges earn more per dollar while in range: a ±5% range is about forty times as capital-efficient as full range. The panel shows the efficiency and an estimated fee APR for whatever you choose.
Pick a shape
A shape decides how your liquidity spreads across the range. The bins preview updates as you change it.
- Spot
- Even liquidity across the whole range. A good default.
- Curve
- Concentrated around the current price. Earns most when the price stays near where it is.
- Bid-Ask
- Weighted toward the edges of the range. Built to catch swings in either direction.
Curve and Bid-Ask are built from several Uniswap v3 positions with different ranges, all minted in one transaction. Full range is always a single position.
Deposit
Enter an amount of either token and Helios works out the other. If your range is entirely above or below the current price, the position takes only one token. HYPE in your wallet is wrapped to WHYPE automatically when the pool needs it.
Your wallet will then ask you to confirm up to four steps: wrap HYPE, approve each token, and add liquidity. Amounts carry 1% slippage protection. If the pair has no Helios pool yet, the first deposit creates one, starting at the price the pair trades at elsewhere on Elysium (or a price you set).
Earning fees
A position earns only from swaps that trade through its Helios pool. Today most Elysium trading goes through aggregators that don't route to Helios pools yet, so volume on Helios is light and a quiet pool can sit at an old price until someone trades it. Elysium's mainnet upgrade should let Helios pools be traded much more widely; until then, check a pool's volume before you deposit.
Swapping
The Swap tab on a pool page trades through the KyberSwap aggregator, which routes across every exchange it indexes on Elysium, so you get the best available path rather than a single pool's price. HYPE trades as the native coin. Swaps use 0.5% slippage protection, and the quote shows the route before you confirm.
Managing positions
Portfolio lists every Helios position in the connected wallet, with its range, whether the price is in range, and its unclaimed fees.
- Collect fees
- Sends earned fees to your wallet and leaves the position open.
- Add
- Adds more liquidity to the same range.
- Remove
- Withdraws part of the position plus its fees. Removing 100% closes the position and burns its NFT.
Fees
Every pool has a fee tier, 0.01%, 0.05%, 0.3% or 1%, charged on each trade and paid to the liquidity providers whose range the trade crosses. Fees build up inside your position until you collect them.
Helios takes a small protocol fee on deposits, withdrawals and collected fees, set and capped on chain by the fee router. The current rates appear in the panel before you confirm. Fee router: 0x1dE31F83169Ddd068a9bc718393719f28ac51061
Tokenomics
$HELIOS has a fixed supply of 1,000,000,000 tokens on Elysium. Every fee Helios earns flows back to it. Token contract: 0x792aa7771e4e1bd58f84631c915ae98aef45277e
Token trading fee
Every $HELIOS buy and sell carries a 1% fee, split in two:
- 50% · Buyback & burn
- Used to buy $HELIOS back from the market and burn it.
- 50% · Treasury
- Pays for contract audits, servers and infrastructure, partnerships and growth.
Protocol fees
100% of protocol fees go to buying back and burning $HELIOS. At launch the fee router charges 0.05% on deposits, 0.05% on withdrawals and 0.5% of the LP fees you collect, and swaps carry a 0.1% fee. The rates are set and capped on chain; the panel shows the current ones before you confirm.
Risks
- Impermanent loss. As the price moves, a position ends up holding more of the token that fell. If fees don't cover the difference, you'd have done better holding.
- Out of range. When the price leaves your range, the position stops earning and sits entirely in one token until the price returns or you move it.
- Token risk. New tokens can be abandoned, dumped or malicious. Read the safety report, and remember it only covers what the chain shows.
- New chain, new software. Elysium and Helios are both young. Provide liquidity only with funds you can afford to lose.
